Black List 2018 Includes Scripts About Snapchat Founder, Matt Drudge and Williams Sisters’ Dad

Black List 2018 Includes Scripts About Snapchat Founder, Matt Drudge and Williams Sisters’ Dad
Snapchat drama “Frat Boy Genius” leads the 2018 version of the Black List — an annual ranking of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood.

“Frat Boy Genius” centers on a disgruntled employee of Snapchat, who chronicles the rise of her former Stanford classmate — and “preeminent douchebag” and current boss Evan Spiegel.

The list, unveiled on Monday, was compiled by Franklin Leonard’s Black List organization from the suggestions of over 300 film executives, each of whom contributed the names of up to 10 favorite scripts that were written in, or are somehow uniquely associated with, 2018 and will not have begun principal photography during this calendar year. Scripts had to receive at least seven mentions to be included on the Black List.

Writer Elissa Karasik is a Mexican-Jewish writer and native Angeleno with a BA in English from Stanford University. At Stanford, she was head writer of the school’s annual musical comedy, “Gaieties.” She

James Gunn's Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Script Is Making People Who Have Read it Cry

James Gunn's Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Script Is Making People Who Have Read it Cry
Turns out that there are a few lucky people in Hollywood who have read the script that James Gunn wrote for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Apparently the story is so good and so emotional that it is making people cry. This information comes from Peter Sciretta of /Film:

If I had somehow talked to two separate people, who somehow read James Gunn’s Guardians 3 script, and both told me that it made them cry, I probably wouldn’t be able to say any more.

— Peter Sciretta (@slashfilm) December 17, 2018

We’ve heard from a couple of sources that Disney and Marvel plan on using this script that Gunn wrote, even though he is no longer going to direct the film. Marvel has yet to find a director to replace Gunn, but whoever they do hire, I hope that they stick with the script and vision that Gunn had for the movie.

Francis Lee To Direct Kate Winslet & Saoirse Ronan In Lesbian Lovers Drama ‘Ammonite’

Francis Lee To Direct Kate Winslet & Saoirse Ronan In Lesbian Lovers Drama ‘Ammonite’
Director Francis Lee’s gay drama love story “God’s Own Country” was easily one of the Best Films of 2017 You Didn’t See and so damn good it also made our list proper Best Films Of 2017 list. Lee’s incredible film, intimate, sparse and unsentimental, created a terrific, unvarnished look at masculine love, something of a nice anecdote to the won’t-show-dongs conservative take of “Call Me By Your Name,” released in the same year.

Terry Gilliam’s Long-Delayed ‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’ Acquired by Screen Media
U.S. audiences will finally get the chance to see Terry Gilliam’s long-delayed film “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote,” a passion project that has taken the director nearly two decades to get to the screen.

Screen Media acquired the North American rights to “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote” and, barring yet another unforeseen mishap, it is planning a March 2019 theatrical release in partnership with Fathom Events, the company announced Monday.

The film stars Jonathan Pryce as the title character alongside Adam Driver, Stellan Skarsgård, Olga Kurylenko and Jordi Mollà. Driver plays a frustrated filmmaker and disillusioned advertising executive who becomes pulled into a world of time-jumping fantasy when a Spanish cobbler (Pryce) who believes he is Don Quixote mistakes Toby for his trusted squire Sancho Panza. Pulled further into the cobbler’s world, Toby gradually becomes unable to tell his dreams from reality.

Roots Mc Black Thought moved from the bandstand to the main stage to perform his new song with producer Salaam Remi, “Conception,” on The Tonight Show Monday.

The performance also featured members of the Roots and a small string section, who combined to create a lush orchestral sound anchored by Remi’s bass and another unassailable Questlove drum groove. Black Thought opened the song with a soulful belt before falling easily into his stream of consciousness flow as he peeled off pensive bars like, “Once again to the well, I

‘Carpool Karaoke': Cardi B Performs for Maybe 20 Senior Citizens – Maybe (Video)
Cardi B told James Corden that she gets shy when performing at private functions. To help her get over this fear, the “Late Late Show” host made her rap to like 20 senior citizens at some sort of jazzercise class on Monday’s “Carpool Karaoke.”

Somehow, that went over better than when the CBS personality tried to teach the former stripper from the Bronx how to drive.

Letting Cardi get behind the wheel of his Range Rover was a bad, bad idea, which is something Corden and his cameramen learned pretty quickly while shooting this segment. Be grateful this morning that you’re not a cone or a flag in her parking lot path, dear reader.
