Trivia

Biff "has a lot of room to talk" when he accuses Marty of being "the little hothead" in Part II, since his own great-grandfather Buford lost his cool when Marty said, "You're Mad Dog Tannen", and started ferociously shooting up the saloon. It appears that getting terribly upset, offended, and defensive whenever they are called an uncomplimentary, or unflattering name ("chicken", "yellow", et cetera) is a long-running trait of some of the males in both the McFly and Tannen families. Goofs

When Marty is facing Mad Dog in the street, Tannen tells Marty to draw and Marty says "NO". There is a close up shot of Sheamus and Chester the bartender standing near each other with a post in between them, and 4 or 5 cowboys standing immediately behind them. When the camera cuts to shot of Doc Brown and Tannen's henchmen, you can see Sheamus and Chester behind them on the porch of the saloon, but now they are standing nowhere near the post and about 10 feet apart and there are no longer any cowboys behind them. This happens a few times during this scene. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Marty McFly: Doc! Doc! Doc!
Young Doc: [not paying attention] What?
Marty McFly: Doc!
Young Doc: What?
Marty McFly: Doc!
Young Doc: [finally seeing him] Aaaah!
Marty McFly: Okay, relax, Doc, it's me! It's me, It's Marty!
Young Doc: No, it can't be! I just sent you back to the future!
Marty McFly: Oh, I know you did send me back to the future. But I'm back, I'm back *from* the future.

Crazy Credits

The film opens with all four versions of the Universal Pictures company bumper. See more »

Alternate Versions

The original 2002 DVDs for parts II and III had major framing errors when the wrong areas of the open-matte frame were transferred (known as the "framing fiasco"). This is noticeable for several minutes in each movie and usually manifests as too much sky and missing objects at the bottom. Universal had replacements ready by 2003. A sample from part III is the fuel injection manifold exploding out of the car, which is supposed to be visible. Copies with a "V2" next to the copyright notice on the disc (on replacements only; in trilogy sets a "V2" is on the II disc), the 2009 single-disc reprint, and the 25th anniversary sets are OK. Robert Zemeckis' Back To The Future rocks !
15 March 2012 | by ustupidboySee all my reviews

When I first saw Back To The Future part 2, I was really looking forward to see the third part because it's the exact sequel of the second. In fact, Back To The Future part 2 has no end in itself. You have to see the last part of the trilogy to know the end of the adventure. That's why I saw the third part just after the second =D.

In this movie the main character, the young Marty McFly (Michael J.Fox), has to go back to 1885 in order to find his long-time friend and eminent scientist Emmett Brown. Doc has been accidentally sent to the old Far West at the end of the second movie and this film tells Marty's journey to find his friend and go back to the present.

I am really fond of the first two movies so I had a little apprehension about this one. I was afraid I might be bored or disappointed. But this is a really good film too. The universe is kind of different because the action takes place a century before so it isn't boring at all. Moreover, even if the characters are involved in a cowboys story, they're still themselves and I am still crazy about them. They fit perfectly in their role and, as in the other movies, Marty meets some people of his family. He meets some bad guys too, and the worst is part of Biff Tannen's family, as usual.

My favorite scene happens at the end, just before Marty and Doc finally go back home. They really are in trouble because Buff Tannen, Biff's ancestor, wants to shoot them and Marty uses a trick he learned in the previous movie. I like this sort of links between the parts of the trilogy very much.

I really love this movie and I would recommend it to anyone who saw the first ones. Not only is the plot as good and funny as usual, but there has been a really good effort in the camera-work to make the film look like a classic western.

This is really a cult movie in the Sci-Fi world and in my opinion, it's a shame there haven't been other sequels. There's never too much Back To The Future and you never get enough !
