Sometime after the death of Larry Barnard, Jr. in October, 2008, Huell Howser added a brief "update" epilogue to this episode to note the passing of both Larry and his mother Henrietta Barnard (2004) and to pay tribute to Slim and Henrietta's "The Happy Wanderers" show as a predecessor to his own "California's Gold."
